Hi, I'm Haley.

artist + owner

I’m so happy that you’re here 🫶🏼

Years ago, Foldaway Studio began as a creative exploration of ideas that light a spark in me — living with nature; exploring new places; filling ordinary experiences with a sense of surprise and intrigue.

Life is truly enrapturing when you're present enough to notice, and painting is my way of processing the wonder of everyday life.

I live with my husband Damon and our three little ones on a small acreage in the heart of Missouri. Damon and I met walking our dogs and a few years later eloped in Glacier National Park. These days, we spend as much time as we can outside — eating around a campfire, working in our native flower plot, and watching movies on the house.

My happiest days are spent making ordinary things feel a little special. I love that almost any experience can feel memorable and new with a strand of twinkle lights and a touch of whimsy.

A studio that folds into life.

My workspace lives in a tiny but sunlit hallway of our home, where Damon built me a desk that folds against the wall when I'm not using it. Sitting directly in front of a glass door, I have a beautiful view of our horse pasture and native flower plot while I work — though I have startled a delivery driver or two!

I used to think creativity needed more space, but I've come to love making things right here, woven into the life we're actually living.

  • Damon Coyle

My husband Damon is the sculptor + woodworker behind our pet memorials. His favorite place to be is in the woodshop, smoking a handmade tobacco pipe and bringing ideas to life.

  • Kate Zumwalt

Kate is one of my greatest friends and an incredibly talented painter + photographer. She lends her eye (and paintbrush) to some of Foldaway’s greeting card designs.
